• Added a notification system to Art Galaxy to keep you up-to-date with all the latest activity!
• Your notifications can be viewed in the menu bar next to your private messages inbox by clicking on the bell icon.
• If you click on the link of a notification, it will be marked as read.
• If you navigate to your notification overview, all notifications will automatically be marked as read.
• The following notifications have currently been implemented:
  • You will get notified when someone posts a comment in your forum topic.
  • You will get notified when someone follows your profile.
  • You will get notified when someone mentions you.
    • Mentions currently do not have an user interface yet, so make sure to use the exact username as mentioned on user profile link (for example: https://artgalaxy.co/user/vex). You can mention me by doing the following @{username}, so @Vex will send me a notification. In the future, there will be an autocomplete function so you can select the correct user more easily.
  • If you are following someone, you will get notified when they upload a new image to the gallery.
  • If you are following someone, you will get notified when they create a new topic in the forums.

In the near future, the following features will be added to the notification system;

• Option to follow a forum topic, so you get notified every time a new comment has been posted.
• Option to search through your notifications on the notification overview page.
• Add a button on the notification overview page to mark all notifications as read instead of doing it automatically.
• Option to manage your notification system, so you choose which notifications you would or would not like to receive.
• An user interface for mentioning other Art Galaxy members more easily.
